Overheard Between Me and My Blog
Blog: “Good morning.”
Me: “Bleh. cough”
Blog: “So, um, did you read Unbecoming Levity yet today?”
Me: “Ah, no. I got out of bed and stumbled over to the keyboard here. I don’t have a computer hidden in the bedroom so, no, I didn’t read Chuck’s blog yet.”
Me: [Surfs over to Chuck’s blog.]
Blog: [Looks dour]
Me: Oh, crap. [Checks the Aces Full archive archive for January. Scrolls down to January 13. Nada.]
Blog: You don’t love me anymore!
Me: Happy belated 4th anniversary?

To be fair to myself, Jan 13 is one day after my wedding anniversary, and generally January is full of more important stuff.
Get your blog a new iMac Mini or some flower graphics and it'll be happy.
Has it really been 4 years?
Yours is the only blog I read with any regularity. I enjoy how we all come together to discuss weighty subjects as well as silly items. I find I frequently mail items from the Friday Shotgun to other friends.
AFOL is a great space. Thanks for four great years!
While we're having a nostalgic moment, I have to confess I went back and read through many of the postings from the longest-running discussion, and really enjoyed myself all over again.
NOTE: I have purposely not mentioned the name of the post because I don't want you to get a whole new slew of postings on the subject.
Although I'm a new reader ... it's a fantastic source for interesting news and commentary. You do a great job James! :)
Thanks, people. Maybe one of these days, I'll change the tagline. It's so old that most people probably don't get the joke anymore.
I never got the joke in the first place. I liked "All your blogs are belong to us."
That tag line was a while ago, wasn't it?
The new tag line is a joke based on the Klez.E worm. It used to send you a virus attachment with a message something like this:
"This is a very nice game. This game is my first work. I hope you would enjoy it."
And if you opened the attachment it would infect your computer. The virus wasn't funny at all, but I thought the strangely off English message was.
You know me. I like language humor. Especially Engrish.
I got the tag line, I just never got the blog title. I assume it has something to do with your interest in poker.
Happy Anniversary to Aces. I, too, like coming here and chatting about whatever. Keep up the good work James!
Hope you're feeling better, James. Although my own blog is intermittent and frivolous, "Aces..." remains a fantastic inspiration. Happy Anniversary!
Happy belated birthday Aces!
